Fit Happens
About

Love for Tibi, from a lover of Tibi.

Fit Happens puts honest, plain-language takes and notes for the beautiful clothes Tibi makes. No star ratings, no percentages, just what a garment actually feels like on.

What we do

Asta loves Tibi — she tries on (and buys) a lot of it. This site has her honest take on the styles she's covered, alongside real fit notes from other shoppers. It's not a substitute for personalized styling advice: for that, reach out directly to @tibistsimons or @tibi.flagship on Instagram.

Get the Chrome extension

Already shopping on tibi.com? The Fit Happens extension puts Asta's Take and the Fit Fam's Take right on the product page — and at checkout — so you never have to leave the tab to check.

Fit & feel, Fit Happens

Asta is a Sr. Director of Design 9-5, and a style overthinker 5-9. Aaand switching to first person now coz how pretentious to talk about myself in third person. I talk about style the way I'd explain a graphic design exercise that finally works — proportion, tension, contrast, the parts that shouldn't go together but somehow do. Not fit tips. Not “flattering for your body type.” Style, here, is a design problem: line, shape, color, balance. Solve for that and the rest takes care of itself.

Taste you can trust.

That's the thesis behind everything I make. Style, self-trust, and unbothered dressing, through the lens of visual design instead of body optimization. If you already know Margiela from Balenciaga and just want permission to dress for yourself instead of for the room, you're in the right place.

On Instagram

Daily-ish design decisions, not styling advice. GRWM walks through the actual thinking. Untagged spotlights the niche brands worth knowing. Closet Tours is fast show-and-tell. The Shoppies is five tactical moves at a time.

The longer, weirder, more honest version of all of it — all the stuff that doesn't fit in a caption. The Friction Files is the weekly outfit diary that started this whole thing. Free to read, worth subscribing.
